Built in 12-13th century, by one Lama Sangye Pradhar, who was said to have been inspired by Nepal’s Boudhanath Stupa.

The Zemithang Valley is one of the most amazing region, rich in religious and cultural lore and fauna. HH Dalai Lama spent the 2nd night in this monastery on his way to #Tawang in 1959.

When PM Modi talks about strengthening connectivity along the borders, he just doesn’t say it, he gets going and does it. Arunachal Pradesh best reflects the success of that resolve of his. Amazing road connectivity right up to the border with Tibet in the Zemithang sector is striking.
