At the Kalachakra Buddh Vihara, Salugara, Siliguri, a discussion on “Pali: India’s Classical Language & Bhagavan Buddha’s Legacy” SPMRF in association with the Himalayan Buddhist Cultural Association… Several speakers – scholars and Bhikkhu’s alike from across north Bengal and Dooars, lauded PM Shri Narendra Modi’s decision to confer the status of classical language on Pali and his indefatigable efforts to preserve and disseminate Buddha’s legacy, message. Most Venerable Segyu Khen Rinpoche, Abbot Sed-Gyued Monastery of the seniormost scholars of Tibetan Buddhism, as chief guest, in his special address lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for his efforts and contribution in spreading the message of Lord Buddha and in preserving his heritage.
