Was delighted to speak at UNESCAP, Bangkok, on the inaugural day of “Samvad-IV: Global Hindu-Buddhist Initiative for Conflict Avoidance & Environment Consciousness.” The theme for this edition was: “The Asian Century of Dharma-Dhamma” organised by Vivekananda International Foundation. Speaking on Conflict Avoidance and Dhammavijaya – referred to the historic efforts and initiatives of PM Narendra Modi to revive the iconic Nalanda University, conferring classical language status on Pali and the special effort on developing the Buddha circuit. The Asian Century has emerge by making the Global Table larger to quote PM Modi’s vision, and insist that “globalisation must shift away from a GDP centric world view of the world to a human-centric view”, as he says. A large phalanx of leaders, monks, ministers, scholars, thinkers came together across the world. Senior members of Buddhist Sangha in Thailand, Sangharaja of Thailand, Rajguru of Thailand lauded PM Modi’s efforts.
Thanks to Vivekananda International Foundation for putting such an outreach together for over a decade now.
