Visited the Choten Monastery, a highly revered seat of the Nyingmapa sect of Buddhsim, in Gangtok, founded in 1946, which houses and trains over 600 monks. The Do-Drul Chorten – 27 meters Stupa is a great attraction.

Offered homage at the Stupa of Lama Dodrubchen Rinpoche, the eminent master who built up the Monastery.

Met His Eminence Lachung Tulku Rinpoche, prominent spiritual figure, who is now the moving spirit of the Monastery.

Had an engaging discussion with senior monk, Lama Konchog Yonten.
