At Vivekananda International Foundation, (VIF) this evening was happy to be part of the “Dikshant Samaroh” of the 2nd batch of the Sir Jadunath Sarkar Fellowship for Indian History instituted by Foundation for Indian Historical & Cultural Research (FIHCR), founded by historian Dr Vikram Sampath. A dynamic group of young scholars supported by the FIHCR has produced an impressive array of solidly researched historical books and studies. The effort is gradually turning into a new movement for research in Bharat’s history from the Bharat’s point of view.

Was joined by Former Foreign Secretary & Chancellor, JNU, Ambassador Kanwal Sibal, Lt General (retd) Dr Rakesh Sharma, Distinguished Fellow, VIF, Prof Sudhir Saxena, Senior Fellow, VIF, Visiting Faculty- IIT, Kanpur & Founding Member, NTRO.

Such efforts are real tributes to the legacies of our icons and thought-leaders who had worked to recover civilisational India’s footprints and linkages from the past and had advocated & lived the ideal of #EkBharatShreshthaBharat
