Visited the iconic Khinmey Monastery, in #Tawang, founded in 1440. Had an enriching conversation with the Head of the Monastery His Eminence the 14th Thegtse Rinpoche.

Widely popular, energetic, erudite, articulate and rooted with a following across the Himalayan belt, including Bhutan, Thegtse Rinpoche Ji, was conferred the #Padmashri by the #ModiGovernment in 2015 for his contribution to education and culture.

The Khinmey Monastery has a vast repository of ancient manuscripts and artefacts and Rinpoche Ji has a deep understanding of trends and currents of the region.

Former CDS General Anil Chauhan Ji, my friend Shri Maling Gambu, Chairman, KVIC, #ArunachalPradesh were present, among others.

Looking forward to actively continuing the dialogue and engagement with Venerable Thegtse Rinpoche Ji.
