Was happy to receive a copy of a very seminal work “Sanskritir Ratnabhandar: Bhawaiyar Itibritta” – an authoritative and inspiring study of the Bhawaiya Loksangeet tradition of Bengal shaped, nurtured and protected by the Rajbongshi community.

With its rich tradition, antiquity and quintessential rootedness in the essence of Bharat, Bhawaiya is also a unique national cultural asset.

Was especially happy to receive it from one of the authors, the distinguished doctor and scholar, Dr Jayanta Kumar Roy, Member of Parliament from Jalpaiguri who is painstakingly documenting and disseminating these precious cultural legacies.
