It was the first ever study of that magnitude which comprehensively challenged the notion of Hindu incapacity in statecraft and governance. Sri Aurobindo in high praise describes Jayaswal’s work as “luminous and scrupulously documented contribution.” Sir Asutosh Mookerjee was the first one encourage Jayaswal to undertake the study, among those who proof-read the final work was the legendary polymath Suniti Kumar Chatterjee. Among the various rare books we found the 2nd edition of Lokmanya Tilak’s “Gita Rahasya.”
Also procured a large number of rare books still being sold by the Institute.
