In Ushagram, Birnagar, Nadia, addressed a special commemorative programme on #VandeMataram150 organised by the Ushagram Trust. Teachers, educationists, social activists, eminent citizens from across the district converged to commemorate #VandeMataram and Rishi Bankim Chandra’s vision and mantra! A short documentary on the history and legacy of #VandeMataram, specially prepared by team Ushagram was screened on the occasion. Various dimensions of #VandeMataram were discussed. PM Shri Narendra Modi‘s unique initiative to commemorate the national mantra was deeply appreciated. An apt setting for the programme was the refreshing twilight of a fading winter in Nadia, a district with a rich history of contribution and participation in the freedom movement.
