Was delighted to deliver the valedictory address at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda on the conclusion of a two day national seminar on “Ideas of India’s Eminent Educational Thinkers and Transformative Education Through NEP-2020.” An intense and richly curated seminar covering a host of iconic thought-leaders put together by Central University of Gujarat, M.S.University of Baroda, Ayala Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Policy Research & International Studies, Baroda. Spoke of Sri Aurobindo-Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Babasaheb Ambedkar and PM Modi’s “Panch Pran” & how NEP aims to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of some of our greatest thought-leaders. Presented copies of my books, “The Master: Sri Aurobindo and the Quest for National Education” & “Syama Prasad Mookerjee: His Vision of Education” to both the distinguished Vice Chancellors of CUG & MSU who were present. Was happy to receive the latest book by Sri Aurobindo scholar & educationist Dr Beloo Mehra. Thanks Prof Amit Dholakia & Prof Manish for such a successful effort and programme.
