A hundred years ago when he organized #DurgaPuja in Mandalay prison Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had referred to #durgapuja as a “national religious festival”, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, while advocating the creation of West Bengal spoke of the Bengali Hindus’ right to observe their way of worship and their religious festivals.
