At the imaginatively curated, meticulously organised, refreshingly conceived @GhatsLitFest today in Coimbatore spoke on the history of violent politics in West Bengal, of the Left-Communists record of violence from Marijchanpi to Nandigram & of 55,000 political killings between 1977-2009, of the Muslim League and Communists’ collaboration to “popularise” & perpetuate the demand for Pakistan. Discussed how that “commitment” to political violence has percolated to the TMC and continues to be crassly perpetrated by it against political opponents.
