Santipur in Nadia is ancient, richly cultural, deeply philosophical and historical – all of it waiting to be tapped! The model has been set by PM Narendra Modi with his emphasis on museums, cultural space, preservation, digitisation & re-imagining cultural conservation. In between campaigns visited the Santipur Sahitya Parishad, which has a collection of wide range of rare books, periodicals & palm leave manuscripts, almanacs! Had an engaging conversation with its founder, a profound scholar Shri Susanta Mutt, scion of one of the oldest families of Santipur. Presented him a copy of “Collective Spirit, Concrete Action: #MannKiBaat and Its Influence in India”!
