At Choumohoni in #Noakhali visited Sree Sree Ram Thakur Ashram. Offered Pranam at the sacred Samadhi of Sree Sree Ram Thakur. Interacted with members of the Ashram board. The Ashram was attacked & vandalised by jihadi elements on Vijaya Dashami last & is being renovated.

Sree Sree Ram Thakur’s sacred physical frame is in Samadhi here in Noakhali. His millions of adherents in India, Bangladesh & across the world revere this centre, it is the collective duty of every generation to preserve & protect this spot.

At Gandhi Ashram Trust in Noakhali, was happy to visit the new exhibition centre set up with support from Modi Govt & to extensively interact with the office bearers of the Ashram.

Always a pleasure to meet Shri R.N.Ravi, Governor of Tamil Nadu. Have had several occasions,over the years,to closely interact with him. A deeply perceptive mind, an expert on national security & governance and a quiet man of action. Discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.

Was delighted to meet eminent carnatic music exponent Padmabhushan, Kalaimamani Smt Sudha Raghunathan.Congratulated her on her appointment as Member of Central Advisory Board on Culture, GoI.Had an interesting discussion on role of cultural movements in India’s freedom movement.

Was delighted to interact with Amb Satish Chandra, former: HC to Pakistan, Representative to UN (Geneva) & Deputy NSA. A strong nationalist voice, he had closely worked on security-diplomacy during NDA-1. At one point had keenly watched India’s neighbourhood with him.

Was happy to be part of the handing over ceremony of the Sri Aurobindo 150 special tableau that was displayed on Republic Day at Rajpath. It was handed over to #SriAurobindo Ashram Delhi Branch by Govt of India. Sh Ram Bahadur Rai ji was also present. Also felicitated Tara Didi …

Was happy to meet eminent Tamil-English writer & thinker, Member Sahitya Akademi GC. Shri Maalan. Had an interesting discussion on Tamil literature, politics, intellectual movement, narrative building etc especially on how waves of gradual change are sweeping TN!
