Attended BJP, West Bengal organisational meet in Kolkata. Newly elected BJP Councillors, from across the state, were felicitated. Young, dynamic & dedicated they have put up a resolute fight against the TMC’s brownshirts & ensured that the LOTUS blooms.

In Kolkata this evening visited Krishna Di (Bhattacharya). She has undergone her second operation today & is stable. Spoke to her, told her how she has always been an inspiration. Extremely disconcerting to see the barbarity of the attack on her. Shall visit her family tomorrow.

In BHU, addressed a meet on: Institutionalised Violence in West Bengal. Eminent academics spoke. Compared TMC’s failing model & hugely successful #UttarPradesh model. Prof Emeritus Aruna Sinha in a masterly expose described Left-TMC’s culture of violence as a neurotic disorder!

A very inspiring Mann Ki Baat: cultural recovery,richness of Indian languages, education in mother-tongue, uniqueness of #Ayurveda, Jan Bhagidari for ##SwachhBharat…listened to it in North Kolkata with Dist president Kalyan Chaubey & Jitendra Tiwari, ex Mayor, Asansol & others.

Spent a delightful evening with Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s niece, Dr Chandra Mukherjee & her husband Dr T.K.Mondal. Both distinguished doctors who have selflessly served people. Many anecdotes, episodes, stories came crowding from “Mejo-Jethu’s” life of epic proportions.

Campaigned in Harinavi area in support of BJP candidates: free ration, medicines at affordable price, renovation of ghats & cremation grounds, tap water in every house, historic vaccination drive: all by #ModiGovt while #WestBengal CM is busy supporting #DawoodIbrahim’s manager!

Campaigned for #BJP candidates in #Joynagar, a historic town, birth place of Prof Bimal Krishna Matilal, one of the finest philosophers, Joynagar is also known for its “Moya” -traditional puffed rice ladoo. Spoke of ODOP, Har Ghar Jal, Kashi Vishwanath & Durga Puja’s UNESCO tag.

In a series of “paths-sabhas” in Bishnupur: spoke on PM Modi’s #smartcity vision, how #WestBengal withdrew from it,on Kashi’s transformation, on infrastructure transforming, on cultural circuits, on water ? & tap ? being provided through PM Modi’s flagship “Har Ghar Jal”

Campaigned in historic Bishnupur today: a town rich & replete with Bengal’s lore,temples,music – all of which lie unattended. Effective, municipal governance centered around these could have done wonders for this ancient town. But TMC’s corruption & inaction has marred all.

Many young, promising karyakartas have been fielded by BJP, their ability to campaign, mobilise option, withstand TMC pressure & intimidation is phenomenal. They continue to hold & hold on to the LOTUS symbol and the flag! Addressed a series of patha-sabhas in their support!
