On Babasaheb Dr B.R.Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas – special programme organised by Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation in New Delhi. Shri B.L.Santhosh Ji, BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) graced the event as Chief Guest. Shri Tarun Chugh, BJP National General Secretary was the Guest of Honour. The programme also commemorated Classical Language Status on Pali conferred by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In my keynote address spoke on how PM Modi was actualising Babasaheb’s dream of preserving and disseminating the sacred legacy of Lord Buddha. I dwelt on the contributions of Asutosh Mookerjee and Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on promoting and supporting Buddhist studies in India. Shri B.L.Santhosh Ji spoke of how Lord Buddha defined and shaped India’s civilisational character.
Eminent monks and leading personalities were present on the occasion and offered their homage to Babasaheb Dr B.R. Ambedkar and lauded Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his tireless contribution towards preservation the sacred legacy of Lord Buddha and for conferring Classical Language status on Pali.

A number of eminent scholars, academics, intellectuals from various leading universities were present on the occasion.
