“Syama Prasad Durgotsav Samman” – Naskarpara Mahila Samiti, Baruipur, (Jadavpur). A hundred years ago when he organized #DurgaPuja in Mandalay prison Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had referred to #durgapuja as a “national religious festival”, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee, while advocating the creation of West Bengal spoke of the Bengali Hindus’ right to observe their way of worship and their religious festivals. That right needs to be protected in West Bengal today. BJP Jadavpur district president Prof Manoranjan Joddar and other office bearers and leaders were present.
